Although our efforts slowed somewhat around the holidays, I and others have been active the past few months in looking at property records regarding the Hewlett-Packard property which we eventually hope to acquire and make a part of Ute Valley Park. In addition, I have taken our story to the Southface HOA and the Pinion Valley HOA, and their presidents have agreed to be on our board. We had a wine and tapas party for some in the neighborhood and picked up some additional volunteers. We now have over forty people who have volunteered to help with FUVP in one way or another. Also, approximately half of the new board positions have been filled and I am hoping to complete the board makeup in January, with meetings to begin no later than February.
I have been so pleased with the folks who have volunteered their time and expertise so far. I also welcome any others wishing to join this worthy effort to call or email me. Our neighborhood is blessed with so many people with such incredible skills. I look forward to working with our neighborhood and continuing to pursue our goals for FUVP.
